SubHeadsUp Beta — Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of SubHeadsUp, a subscription tracking service provided by Serpin Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. By signing up, you agree to these terms.

1. What SubHeadsUp Does

SubHeadsUp connects to your Gmail account to detect subscription-related emails, track your active subscriptions, surface renewal dates and costs, and send you a weekly digest email. Subscription detection is automated and best-effort — it is not a financial service, and we are not financial advisers.

2. Beta Service

SubHeadsUp is currently in beta. This means:

The service is provided free of charge during the beta period
Features may change, be added, or be removed at any time
The service may experience downtime or interruptions
We may end the beta at any time, with or without notice
You should not rely on SubHeadsUp as your sole method of tracking financial commitments

We'll do our best to give you advance notice of significant changes or if we're shutting things down.

3. Eligibility

To use SubHeadsUp, you must:

Be at least 18 years old
Have a valid Gmail account
Be using the service for personal use (not on behalf of a business, unless you're a solopreneur managing your own subscriptions)

4. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Don't share your account with others. If you think your account has been compromised, let us know straight away at [hello@subheadsup.com](mailto:hello@subheadsup.com).

5. Gmail Access

SubHeadsUp uses Google's OAuth to read your emails. Specifically:

You grant us read-only access to your Gmail inbox to detect subscription-related emails
We do not read, store, or share the full content of your emails — we only process emails that appear to be subscription-related
You can revoke Gmail access at any time via your [Google Account settings](https://myaccount.google.com/permissions)
Revoking access will prevent SubHeadsUp from detecting new subscriptions, but won't delete your existing data

We handle your Gmail access in accordance with our [Privacy Policy](#).

6. Acceptable Use

SubHeadsUp is a personal tool. You agree not to:

Use it for any commercial or resale purpose
Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or copy any part of the service
Use it in a way that could harm, overload, or disrupt the service
Try to access other users' accounts or data

7. Data Accuracy

Subscription detection is automated and won't be perfect. We may miss subscriptions, detect false positives, or show incorrect amounts or renewal dates. Do not rely on SubHeadsUp for financial decisions. Always verify renewal dates and costs directly with your subscription providers.

SubHeadsUp is a helpful tracker, not an authoritative financial record.

8. Your Data

You own your data. We use it only to provide the SubHeadsUp service. We don't sell your data to third parties. For full details on how we collect, store, and process your data, see our [Privacy Policy](#).

You can request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing [hello@subheadsup.com](mailto:hello@subheadsup.com).

9. Our Intellectual Property

The SubHeadsUp platform — including its design, code, and branding — belongs to Serpin Ltd. These terms don't give you any rights to use our name, logo, or intellectual property beyond what's needed to use the service normally.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

We provide SubHeadsUp as-is, without warranties of any kind
We are not liable for any inaccuracies in subscription detection, amounts, or renewal dates
We are not liable for any financial loss arising from reliance on information shown in SubHeadsUp
We are not liable for service interruptions, data loss, or changes to features during the beta

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by our negligence — as required under English law.

11. Termination

You can stop using SubHeadsUp at any time and request account deletion by emailing [hello@subheadsup.com](mailto:hello@subheadsup.com).

We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, or if we decide to end the beta — with as much notice as is reasonably practicable.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email before they take effect. Continuing to use SubHeadsUp after that point means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
